Speakeasies have been spreading around the world with their secret doors, passwords to enter and one of a kind décor and delicious drinks. I was introduced to these secret London bars by a friend in London and I was absolutely enthralled. Since then many more have been popping up throughout London.
To incorporate these secret London places into your itinerary, you’ll need to do some research. Do a quick Google search on “speakeasies in London” and it will come up with a number of articles. Then you want to decide which ones you want to go to, where they are located and also make reservations. Since most of them have limited seating and space dropping in is not usually possible.
When you are deciding which ones to go to, decide if you want to have food with your cocktails. Not all of the speakeasy bars serve food so you want to know that before going. You also want to see what the dress code is…most will have one and even if they don’t you will feel out of place if you are not dressed up at least a little.
These secret London bars are an event in themselves, and it is a great way to experience some London nightlife outside of the regular British pubs.
