The best travel pillow and how to use it
Do you use a travel pillow but find you still get a kinked neck or it’s super uncomfortable and it’s just not working for you? I tested out a travel pillow that is going to completely change your mind on what you think about a traditional travel pillow.
I’m not necessarily a big travel pillow type of person because I find they just never work for me. There are many times, though, I wish a neck pillow did work better for flights, bus trips and everything else I may want to have a little nap during and I only have a seat.
The traditional travel pillow:
I find the traditional neck pillow completely useless unless you are sitting up and you want to sleep with your neck resting backwards. I find it’s the only way to use this type of pillow. Personally, I like to have my head rested to the side of something and these do not provide the support for that. I’d be waking up with a giant kink in my neck because the support is not there for that position.
The Trtl neck pillow:
The Trtl Pillow wraps around your neck. It gives you a bit like a neck brace type feel, but this is exactly what we need. When we sleep we need our neck to be supported in one place. This can also be accomplished if you have a window seat to really lean against while using all your jackets for support or a normal pillow to put up, but we don’t always have this option.
The Trtl Neck Pillow is a little confusing when you first open it, but once you take a look at the instructions it’s fine. You can use this for either side of your neck.
Decide which side you want to lean on, and then it wraps around like a scarf, which is great so it’s not so obvious. It has a secure and comfortable plastic form inside the fleece that you rest on your shoulder and you can put your full head weight onto the neck pillow.
Another thing I really like is how compact it is. With the traditional neck pillows they are big and annoying to carry around. This one folds up and is very thin. It does have a shape to it, but it is something that you can store away very easily.
I totally recommend this Trtl pillow for your travels. I hope this gives you a little insight on trying out a new travel pillow. I think this one works way better than the traditional neck pillows you see everywhere and not having to carry around those big pillows for the rest of your trip is just another perk to me.
