There are many things to take into account as a solo female traveler but the questions I get most is what destinations are best.

In all my travels so far, I have never felt unsafe as a solo female traveler. I think that almost every place can be great, you should just know if there are specific areas to avoid, what the crime is like and of course if there is any unsettlement in the country.
As a solo female traveler you are already thinking about things and how to handle different situations because of how we already live our everyday life. These will all come into play when you are travelling on your own too.
The thing I have found though, even when I am talking to new solo travelers, is they all usually want actual suggestions on where they should be going. I get it and so I am going to give you my top 6 destinations to travel to as a solo female traveler.
Travelling where the locals speak your language is always going to be an easier place to travel solo. With the UK representing 4 different countries, I would highly recommend any of them. They all have something different to offer, have great transportation, friendly locals and a lot of different places to stay and experience. You will not be at a loss for things to do here.
France is one of those places that you can just wander around every town by foot. With endless experiences, attractions and world renowned art and food you can have your cake and eat it too. No one here looks twice at someone dining alone, or you can set up a picnic and people watch at one of the many parks (where you can also enjoy drinking some wine without hassle). The train system between the different cities is very easy to navigate and not overly expensive.
If you are looking for some more outdoor adventures and a laid back atmosphere you’ll want to check out New Zealand. Super friendly people, not as many deadly critters as in Australia and the views here are spectacular.
Being a popular tourist destination as well as a digital nomad hub, you will blend right in as a solo female traveler. With the inexpensive prices for great food, accommodation and experiences it lets you travel longer here or in more style (take your pick). There are many ways to get around this country so you can choose which style suits you. It is also a great place to be able to combine an adventurous and cultural vacation along side a relaxing beach vacation. Check out what you shouldn’t miss in Thailand here.
Not only is Canada one of the safest places to travel to, but it is also a country that has an overwhelming amount of outdoor adventures and landscapes. Check out the Atlantic Provinces for smaller provinces, super friendly locals and delicious seafood. Explore the remote areas of the Canadian Arctic and see polar bears, giant caribou herds and the northern lights. Travel to the west coast for a laid back atmosphere and endless beauty and outdoor adventures.
With so many more places to see in the middle of the 3 oceans that surrounds Canada, you are spoiled for choice on where to explore. A word to the wise though, Canada is much bigger than most think, you’ll want to focus your trip in only one area of Canada.
The hustle and bustle of Hong Kong will leave you buzzing with excitement. Being a former British colony you will have an easy time finding people that speak English, as well as understanding how to get around this city. The food here is to die for and you can dine at the second cheapest Michelin star restaurant in the world to uber expensive meals. On this relatively small island you have a lot of different neighbourhoods to check out as well as neighbouring islands within a quick ferry ride.
No matter where you go on your solo trip, I don’t see being a female traveler making much difference as long as you continue to use your common sense. These 6 locations are all great starting points to get your feet wet with solo travel.
