Getting Over Travel Fears – All You Need To Know To Enjoy Your Trip
Everybody has travel fears. No matter how often and how much you’ve traveled, you will still get some of those fears pop up before you go on a trip. Some fears are more nerve-wracking than others, but there are several different ways of getting over travel fears. I’m going to share with you one of my favourite ways to do this.
First step for getting over travel fears
The first thing to getting over travel fears is you want to determine what your travel fears are. When you just randomly say, “Oh, I don’t know how to do this” or “I’m worried about this” you are not being specific about what you fear. You wanna dig down to understand exactly what that fear is, to make getting over travel fears easier.
Once you figure out your travel fears, write them down. No matter if they’re big or small, write them all down. This way, you get these fears out of your brain down onto paper to stop the cycle going through your head.
Second step for getting over travel fears
Now that you have it down on paper, you next want to go through each fear and determine what you would do if that fear actually came to fruition. This may require a little bit of research on what you need to do, or you may need to ask someone else that has more travel experience. Getting over travel fears requires you to go through and really detail what you would do in that instance.
When you fill all of this out, it takes the power away from those fears because you now know what you would do and how you will handle that situation. You won’t have that inner voice consistently run through your mind saying, “Oh, I’m so scared of so & so”. You’re now focusing on the solution, not the fear and when you do that you get the power back.
