How well do you know your etiquette?

Travelling to a new country brings all sorts of differences. Something we may not think about is how different etiquette can be. To set you off on the right foot and not offend someone, you want to know a few of the etiquette rules of the country you are heading to.

Swissotel has put together a list of social norms in different countries around the world. Now this list is not extensive, but the information is short and sweet with the important things to know. Visit it here.

This is a great place to start your knowledge of etiquette when you are planning your trip. You don’t need to know everything, but just the main basics that you could run into while away. Even if you are getting someone to plan your trip for you, if they do not include some etiquette information, you’ll want to look into this yourself. When you do this simple research beforehand you will eliminate the worry about not knowing if you tip and how much, as well as some do’s and don’ts among other things.
