Canadian Travels

Why you should take a Canadian travel adventure

When most people say they want to take a Canadian trip, they have no idea how big Canada actually is along with the plethora of things to do, landscapes to see and adventures to be had.

To drive from Vancouver, BC to St. John’s Newfoundland it would take you 78 hours with no stopping and this doesn’t even get you into the three territories in the north.  To drive again from Vancouver, BC up to the Yukon, which borders BC, it would take you 24 hours without stopping. So you can see how vast this country is.

When most people think of Canada, they tend to just think about snow and cold. Although this is true for part of the year, in most places we have three other beautiful seasons and have adventures and experiences for all 4 of these seasons.

Canada has 3 different oceans to choose from and I am excited to be visiting my third one next year on one of my small group tours I am hosting all in Canada.

Canadian Adventures

There are so many adventures you can take no matter the season. You can ski and snowboard in world renowned Whistler, BC, or hit up smaller mountains all through the Rocky Mountains. There are all levels of hiking trails throughout the whole of Canada. Kayak, canoe, rock climb, go dog sledding, white water rafting, surfing, fishing and scuba diving and these are only just a few of the adventures you will find here.

Not only are there many adventures to do but there are also adventures to see all kinds of wildlife. From different types of whales, bears, birds, deer, elk, among others, and many of these can be seen in urban environments not just out in the far off wilderness.

Canadian Cities

Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto stand out as the most visited, and all for good reason, but exploring the smaller cities is where you will find the soul of Canada. Explore the wild west coast beauty in Tofino (BC), head up to Banff (AB) for gorgeous views in every direction. Check out the gold rush town of Dawson City (YT) for history under the Northern Lights. Travel over to Tuktoyaktuk (NWT) and dip your toe in the Arctic Ocean. Explore the otherworldly Baffin Island (NU) for a photographers dream.

Check out these small cities when visiting these other Canadian provinces:
